TerraNova Equestrian Center Prepares for Autumn Horse Shows with Thankful Theme and Charity Partnerships

Myakka City, Florida, October 4, 2024- Giving back has always been at the heart of every horse show at TerraNova Equestrian Center. Since its inaugural event in 2021, TerraNova has partnered with several charities to raise money for local causes. This fall, TerraNova Equestrian Center is taking this giving to the next level with commitments to three charities: The Azinger Family Compassion Center, Easterseals Ranch, and Meals on Wheels PLUS of Manatee.

During its upcoming horse shows, Dressage at TerraNova (10/17-20) and The Event at TerraNova (11/14-17), every volunteer hour worked will equate to a $20 donation to The Azinger Family Compassion Center, which is a multi-purpose donation and distribution center that provides life-changing resources for foster children, hungry children, trafficked children, single moms, and struggling families from the surrounding community. Featured during The Event at TerraNova in November, Meals on Wheels PLUS of Manatee is bringing its popular Empty Bowls charity fundraiser back to TerraNova for a second year. Held Saturday, November 16th from 11am to 2pm, Empty Bowls symbolizes the importance of coming together to fill the bowls of our friends and neighbors in need. This community event benefits The Food Bank of Manatee, a PLUS program of Meals on Wheels PLUS of Manatee.

ATRIA Café, Tsunami Sushi & Hibachi, Myakka City Grill, and other local fan-favorite restaurants will have stations throughout the facility’s beautiful pavilion with panoramic views of the horse show. Guests may sample signature soups from each restaurant before choosing their meal, which includes soup, salad, bread and desserts, with a keepsake ceramic bowl.

Tickets are $35/person and can be purchased here:

With "Thankful" as the theme of the horse show, competitors in November will be encouraged to give thanks and give back through a variety of charitable activities, including the Dino Derby, where three teams will represent the three charities, complete with inflatable dinosaur costumes and fun games. First, second, and third place will each have a designated amount that will be donated by The TerraNova Equestrian Foundation to the charities. Also, in place of the usual cross-country completion gifts for competitors, a donation will also be made to the competitor’s selection of one of the three charities.

More on-site activations will be announced in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for further announcements.
