Equilibrium at TerraNova
About Equilibrium at TerraNova
Mission Statement
Equilibrium at TerraNova is dedicated to helping individuals achieve balance and inspire personal growth through mindfulness, partnership, and connection with horses and the natural world.
Our Approach
Our equine-assisted mindfulness programming is centered around connection and is inspired by horses. Horses set the perfect example for better living as they embody mindfulness, balance, and peace. To connect with a horse, a person must be authentic, present, and willing to accept partnership. Connecting with a horse is a magical experience, and horses are excellent guides throughout the process. A horse cannot be anything other than her authentic self, and she will teach us that lesson every time we step into her world.
A Note from our Director:
“Our programs are designed to develop the skill of balance in our lives. We spend much of our lives addressing just the difficult. We find ourselves staying there, giving it all of our energy. Pain and discomfort demand our attention, while peace and joy wait for us to find them. When we are in balance, we can be fully present in our lives and connect with the world around us.”

Meet the Instructors
With over 40 years in the horse industry, Libby has successfully competed in disciplines such as hunter/jumpers, reining and ranch riding. After years of teaching students to become better riders, her passion now is fostering a deeper connection between horses and humans that goes beyond time in the saddle. The foundation of Libby’s program is helping students develop a compassionate partnership based on an understanding of how horses think and communicate. Libby is a Certified Equine-Assisted Learning Instructor and the founder of The Mindful Horse Program. A mindfulness-based curriculum teaching connected horsemanship to both children and adults.

Madison Bonamarte
Madison Bonamarte is a passionate and intuitive horsewoman who focuses on establishing a healthy horse-human connection. Madison specializes in the misunderstood or “problem” horses, green or un-broke horses, off the track thoroughbreds, and rescue horses with her basis of natural horsemanship.
Madison grew her own business over the past decade with her event team of young girls and upcoming horses in Wisconsin. While successfully competing in eventing for over 15 years, she traveled with her students and horses across the country every year. While working at TerraNova, she aspires to create a healthier, happier, more connected, understanding environment for competition horses. It is her priority to let the horses be just that, horses… to not make them into competitive robots, but to open up doors for true partnerships to blossom.
