Show Jumping with Elevated Hospitality Coming to TerraNova Equestrian Center This Month
February 4, 2025, Myakka City, FL – TerraNova Equestrian Center is proud to announce the return of the TerraNova Winter Series, now with two exciting offerings that will bring world-class competition and family-friendly fun to the Sarasota and Lakewood Ranch area. The series, which has become a seasonal staple for the facility, welcomes local spectators and horse enthusiasts alike to discover Florida’s premier equestrian destination. Grand Prix competition begins Saturday, February 15 and runs each weekend through Sunday, March 16. Alongside free general admission, TerraNova looks forward to debuting elevated hospitality options, including a reimagined VIP experience and an all-new Sunday itinerary geared toward families and large groups.
The venue’s Saturday VIP Brunch experiences have exploded in popularity over the years, and with this new level of demand, TerraNova is pleased to introduce elevated hospitality offerings from their new Executive Chef, Christopher Capstick. Chef Capstick is an accomplished culinary artist and was a featured chef on the TV show “Great Chefs of the Northeast.” His experience as an executive chef on a mega yacht and at premier golf clubs has guided his cuisine to strike the perfect balance between elegance and simplicity, with an emphasis on healthy, fresh ingredients.
"We will be sourcing in the community for unique local products to create one-of-a-kind cuisine pleasing the eye and palate," said Chef Capstick. "We will combine international culinary techniques to create gourmet dishes in tune with the equestrian diet and mindset. The possibilities are endless and we are excited to begin."
From February 15 to March 15, every Saturday, guests are invited to reserve a table in the picturesque pavilion built by B&D Builders that overlooks the competition arena. Guests will enjoy a gourmet brunch as riders and their horses will face off in high-stakes competition, tackling a challenging course, with the best returning for a thrilling jump-off round. While the roster is still shaping up, the series expects to see the return of riders such as 3x United States Olympian Kent Farrington, and 4x United States Olympian Elizabeth “Beezie” Madden.
At the end of the series, the grand finale on March 15 will feature the $100,000 Split Rock Jumping Tour International Grand Prix - a can't-miss event in the equestrian calendar. Derek Braun, President of Split Rock, is proud that TerraNova Equestrian Center is a stop on the famed tour for the third year in a row.
“Being able to operate at a facility of this quality is such a tremendous bonus to our tour,” said Braun. “We are extremely excited to culminate the 2025 winter season at TerraNova with one major Split Rock/TerraNova Winter Series finale! We hope everyone can join us and experience how special TerraNova is in 2025 and beyond.”
Season tickets for all five Saturdays are also available at a 10% discount, offering a fantastic way to experience the entire series.
To complement Saturday’s offerings, TerraNova Equestrian Center is excited to introduce Sundays at TerraNova, a new concept designed to bring families, large groups, and the local community together at the horse show. Each Sunday offers a day of faith, food, and fun for all ages.
The day begins with a nondenominational Christian service at 7:30 am, followed by a hearty family breakfast from 8:00 am to 11:00 am. Enjoy favorite breakfast foods at a price point of $30 per adult and $15 per child. Tickets will be available for sale at the door.
Stay to enjoy the $25,000 TerraNova Prix, beginning at 9:00 am, and cheer on your favorite pairs as they tackle a challenging show jumping course. Children ages 5-12 will also have the chance to sign up for Mini Horsemanship Camp, where they can interact with miniature horses in a safe and fun environment. Each week will feature new themes and opportunities for learning and discovery.
