Myakka City, FL- February 19, 2024- Events at TerraNova is pleased to announce the addition of TerraNova Dressage III, a CDI-3* and USEF Level 5 competition held May 2-5, 2024, at TerraNova Equestrian Center in Myakka City, Florida. The competition joins two established dates, including TerraNova Dressage I USEF Level 5/CDI-4* April 4-7, and TerraNova Dressage II USEF Level 5/CDI-W October 17-20.

This brand-new competition serves as the final Tryout Event on the east coast of the United States before the end of the Qualifying Period (May 6, 2024) for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, France (United States Equestrian Federation Athlete Selection Procedures).

TerraNova Equestrian Center, located just outside of Sarasota, Florida, opened in 2021 and debuted its first CDI-W dressage competition in October 2022. Since its inaugural dressage competition, the venue has focused on expanding its luxury facilities to support a boutique competition environment that is appreciated by riders and horses alike for its purity of sport, harmony with nature, and commitment to excellence.

Last October, TerraNova welcomed riders such as Susan Dutta, Ben Ebeling, Jan Ebeling, Charlotte Jorst, and Kevin Kohmann to its CDI-W competition. Riders remarked on the facility’s relaxed atmosphere and horse-friendly amenities. “For me, the footing is important. You [have good footing] from the stabling to the show ring to the warmup ring. We were on beautiful tracks where they were taken care of constantly,” said Susan Dutta during the TerraNova II CDI-W in 2023 where she won the CDI-3* Grand Prix with her own Don Design DC. “[The show has] been beautifully run. People are so kind.”

Dutta also mentioned the driving distance from Wellington. “It's an easy drive,” she continued. “I mean, it doesn't get nicer. I'm very excited to be here. I hope it keeps going on, and I hope we can build the show. I would love to thank the owners of this beautiful facility for putting the show on. I really appreciate it.”

Alongside the events in the arena, TerraNova Equestrian Center will host a slew of social activities and charitable components for competitors and spectators to enjoy during the competition in May. “If you haven’t been to TerraNova yet, we welcome you to spend the weekend with us to explore the facility and join us in our vision for the future,” says Molly Oakman, President of Events at TerraNova.

“The addition of TerraNova Dressage III is just one step in our commitment to serving the dressage community in Florida and beyond,” says Oakman. “We look forward to an exciting weekend celebrating dressage, community, and charity.”

Judges for TerraNova Dressage III include Agnieszka Majewska (POL), Cari McClain (USA), Debbie Rodriguez (USA), Cesar Torrente (COL) and Christof Umbach (LUX).

Additional competition information will be released in the coming weeks.
